In one of the earlist signs that Kenya’s taltering tourism industry could benefit significantly from President Barack Obama inauguration an international tour farm, Intrepid Travel has launched the global sale of an Obama Tour that will see visitors reach the country’s Western Tourist Circuit..
The tour dabbed roots will feature a visit to the village of Nyang’oma – Kogelo, the US president’s father bithrplace as well as visits to popular game parks of Lake Nakuru in the heart of the Rift Valley, Maasai Mara Natioanal game reserve., birds sanctuaries, scenic spots and the nearby Ruma National Game Park in Lambwe valley across Lake Vicotira.

According t the firm each group on the tour will comprise not more than 12 people each of whom will pay about USD 2800 plus airticket for the eight day experience.
Kenya tourism officials are hoping that the interest generated in the country by president Obama inauguration will help jump start the sector which attered massure losses and cancellaton following last year’s post election violence.
Tourism Minister Najib Balala was among the senior government officials who visisted Washington DC during Obamas Inauguration to try and promote Kenya in the American market.
Tour officials also hope the interst in Obama origin will see the opening up of Western Kenya Tourist circuit , which has largely been ignored by visitors interacted in more traditionally circuits such as the Mora and mt Kenya.
The opening up of the Western circuit official said is the key to relieving pressure in the other cuircuits which have started to suffer from the effect of high human traffic.
