KENYATTA SPORTS GROUND TURNED A DATING DEN

SHOULD Kenya first President the late Jomo Kenyatta happens at sports ground in Kisumu, the activities he would find will force him whip everyone lying under the trees that source good shade for relaxation.
This is because they disguise to spend the day under these shades doing nothing beneficial for the economic growth of the country. Their work is to observe how the buttocks of women fit in their well dressed bikini’s half necked skirts and hipsters’. They check hips moving up and down as they catwalk across the pitch.
Kenyatta sports ground has hosted local and international volleyball, handball, Basketball and football may lose its sporting glory to this women shopers who have converted it to a love and dating den.
The grounds history would be traced from the archives of 1901 when Kisumu town was Port Florence. It has for decades been a sleepy sporting centre. Was well known in 1985 – 1995 as a home for street urchins in town.
But in 1996, prominent legal adviser and now Kisumu Town West MP John Olago Aluoch set up the Hill Brow bar and restaurant that brought a new dawn.
This started at a slow pace and with time, the ground attracted several stakeholders that include Swedish International Development Agency -SIDA, the Lake Victoria Trust Fund- LVTF and the Municipal Council -MCK that muscled in a joint co-operation similar to the bull fighters in Western Kenya that have converged to King – Kong out their might for the best sporting fraternity, eventually turned the ground to a tourist attraction site.
The former hiding grounds for street urchins then turned to a full time entertainment and a beer drinking centre as live band thrills drinkers.
Prominent musicians like Princes Jolly of ‘Dunia Mbaya’, King of ‘Ohangla’ Tony Nyadundo of ‘Ndoa ya Mapenzi’, Onyi Papa jey who won the hearts of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)in 2007polls with the hit’ TINGA’ and Osogo Winyo ‘The bird’ have repeatedly forced passerby to stop and shake themselves in the open at this venue.
Jubilation experienced in 2001 when Kisumu attained its city status that marked 100 years of development and prosperity, made Kenyatta Sports Ground unforgettable to Kenyans, East Africa- EAC that were invitees, Africa and the world that watched through the media.
The three presidents of Uganda, Tanzania and the host Kenya led by retired President Daniel Arap Moi, Uganda’s Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Tanzanias Benjamin Mkapa graced the occasion to spark fireworks in the city. They stood firm as the National Anthem of their respective states rent the air.
It was during this time that SIDA, LVTF and MCK went deep in their renovation and beautification of the ground .In the process, the first private public toilet and bathroom as in big towns like Nairobi and Mombasa was installed but for a little fee. Trees were planted all over in plenty ,water was connected by MCK in a permanent measure to turn the dusty field closer to the green field of Kericho.
Maintenance in the field is the order of the day ,pavement and trenches were set up to make the ground the cleanest place in the city .Thanks to SDA, MCK, the hill brow management, LVTV and Steve Biko - the grounds manager ,for their hard work.
The beautification of the sports ground went a milestone ahead with commercial security being contracted to provide a 24hr services . Flowers that paint the ground green and red makes it attractive place to be the whole day as you enjoy your drinks .
In addition development, those who walk around the city and are done ,free sitting and relaxations sites are available at no cost .
But what worries the public ,the church and management at kenyatta sports ground , the better the ground is beautified, the worst it creates to the people.
They routinely make it at this sporting ground in day broad light, choose a good shade for shameful activities as our disciplined children move around with parents stare in disbelieve.
Their business is to touch, smooch and kiss each other in the open. They do not want disturbances. 50 per-cent of these people are women and men who spend time sprawling in each other as new entrants scramble for the left scarce space.
Married women and men who cheat on their spouses for newly hooked sweet hearts occupy most space as the cool breeze from Lake Victoria blows, for the wind to answer by shaking trees, turning the former sporting centre to a honey moon and dating zone.
The recent survey unearthed that this activities have broken bank to attract young school girls who flock the grounds to hook themselves pot – bellied giants(sugar daddies) as ‘I love you sweetie' smears their lips on and on.
Then after, stroll together with their hands held as do pride and groom in their wedding day to go drink lose their hard earned cash with young baby dols, before heading to their homes to cheat their wives that they have lost cash to pick pockets in the streets…
